How do you do the splits?Without killing all by yourself?!!?

Qusetions: i am not that adaptable,but I want to accomplish the splits.I'm pretty much down,but I cannot go down any far more.I will not do gymnastics,ballet,karate,cheerleading...… only a standard particular person!!!!
