Knitting Pattern Confusion?

Qusetions: I casted on 3 stitches such as the pattern (for an earflap hat) explained.. then it says get the job done in k1, p1 Rib right until piece measures eight in. from starting, ending having a WS row.

Does this indicate I start off just about every row knitting, or change ever before start off from knitting to purling?
Just earning confident..I often do not browse patterns.

Answers:I cannot comprehend your query, but k1, p1 indicates each and every other stitch, not row

Answers:Ok, in case you are doing work flat (meaning knitting back again and forth it could go like this

1st row: k1, p1, k1
2nd row (back aspect of material: p1, k1, p1
3rd row (front aspect of material: k1, p1, k1

when that you are executed with eight inches of material you really should have fundamentally 3 extended stacks of stitches plus they really should all search the exact same, from your back again aspect (wrong aspect ) of your material it really should be considered a stack of purl bumps, a stack of v's (knit stitches) and yet another stack of purl bumps.
