How to wire just one pole change and just one pole outlet to a 3 wire line?

Qusetions: should you have what exactly is named a 12/2 or 14/2 , also named "2 with ground" wire you are going to have 3 wires. A black wire, a white wire as well as a bare copper wire perhaps in brown paper. The Black wire could be the "hot" wire and goes around the brass "gold" screw. The white wire could be the return and goes around the "silver" screw. The copper wire could be the ground and goes around the green (usually hex head) screw.

To attach just do away with about 1/2" of your sheathing and wrap the uncovered wire about the screw and tighten.

If you might have three wires as well as a ground, then that alterations elements, just e-mail me and i will get additional facts and give a additional total solution.

Answers:The green wire could be the grown, you connected it to your change box. White wire to change and back again by passes the change, so once you shut off change it breaks the recent.
